"Missing You"

By Chishio Ochita

"It won't be long, Shell."
The words keep repeating,
Beating within me like a spell.

I eagerly wait your return.
Looking to the horizon,
I feel my heart churn.

"It won't be long, now."
My mind only responds,
"When will I be with thou?"

The wait grows longer.
Yet, I still remain standing,
My love grows stronger.

"It won't be long; soon."
Though I know it to be true,
My heart beats to another tune.

My heart is bound to you.
Devoted beyond all doubt,
This heart you broke into.

"It won't be long; push through."
I try, but my heart aches,
It is hurting for you.

Despite knowing what is true,
My heart beats only this:
"I'm still missing you."
A very personal piece for me right now. I am having to deal with a long distance relationship, which is very difficult after having been with someone for nearly 5 months straight, every single day... It's been a week since he went back home, and it will be a while longer until I can see him again, so my heart is hurting... I'm missing him pretty bad tonight. This is what came of it.

"Love bears all things, believes all things, hopes all things, endures all things."
- 1 Corinthians 13:7
